The Queen's Lace dragon is in a word dainty. These small dragons are mostly white with extremely intricate wings that they use to glide just above the surface of lakes while searching for food. Adults reach lengths of only about six feet including a tail that's two thirds the animals length. Males grow elaborate crowns when mature and females develop golden and magenta scales on their heads during mating season; Queen's Lace dragons mate for life. They make their nests in the thick grasses of the flatlands. Hatchlings form strong bonds with their siblings and are known to fly together in to adulthood.

This beautiful OOAK dragon egg by artist Kim Coombes is constructed from polyurethane coated felt, paper, adhesive, steel pins and a polystyrene foam core (approx. 12cm or 4.72" in height). The eggs nest is made with genuine gemstones polished by the artist: amethyst, (For the development of intuition and awareness, it is believed to be a cleansing and healing power) and citrine (Known as the success stone it promotes happiness and thought and inspires one to achieve their goals). The gemstones are affixed to a dense cardboard frame (approx 1" or 2.54cm in height) and coated with epoxy resin.
