The Crested Jewel-eyed Wyvern (Dragon)
The Crested Jewel-eyed Wyvern is a beautiful OOAK pose-able soft sculpture by artist Kim Coombes.

This plucky little juvenile is nearly half of his potential six foot length with an adult wing span of around seven feet. Found mostly in varying shades of shimmering taupe to white these wyverns are stunning and often compared to fine marble statues.
Crested Jewel-eyed Wyverns are opportunistic hunters but are particularly fond of fish and are frequently seen diving in many of the lakes in the south western continent. Their strong tight flame is ideal for striking fish several feet below the surface of the water and long toes with sharp claws are well suited for grabbing slippery prey!
Dutiful parents these wyverns mate for life and share in the tending of the young and defence of the nest. They make their homes out of saplings and young tree branches that they intricately weave to make hutches in densely wooded areas.

The Iridescent Mountain dragon is cave dweller present throughout the rocky regions of the North West continent. The dragon is named for the scales that are under the fibrous hairs covering most of it's body. They make there nests in tight crevices to protect the leathery eggs from predators and the intense winds that are present in the mountains. Attentive parents, the females tend to the hatchlings bringing them fish, birds and small animals and will defend the juveniles until their fire develops. Adult males can grow up to six feet in length and weighs around 300 lbs.

This beautiful OOAK dragon egg by artist Kim Coombes is constructed from pleather, faux fur, steel pins and a polystyrene foam core (approx. 4.5" or 11.43cm in height). The eggs nest is made with genuine gemstones polished by the artist: labradorite (A stone of transformation, it's said to release insecurities and embrace change; it clears the mind and stimulates the imagination) and blue quartz (Promotes harmony and calming it's believed to help with communication, connection and clarity). The gemstones are affixed to a dense cardboard frame (approx. 1" or 2.54cm in height) and coated in epoxy resin.

Canada
Born Kimberley Jane Dempster in Toronto Ontario, Canada (I'm not saying when) I've been drawing since I could pick up a pencil and writing since I first learned to read. I best describe myself as someone who never stops. I am always doing something; drawing, writing, sewing, conjuring...no wait, wrong profile. I love to explore new mediums and challenge myself to do really crazy things; like taking on projects of epic proportions. Animals have always been a passion of mine, especially reptiles, cats and creepy crawlys.I spent a number of years working with and studying them. I now live in what I refer to as the "Cultural Armpit of Ontario". So I plan to keep up with my web activity so my creative endeavors don't fall through the cracks!
